Red Bull's Max Verstappen Wins the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Red Bull's Max Verstappen has won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final round of the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship. The Dutchman started from pole position and led every lap of the race, despite a late challenge from Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton Crashes Out of the Race
Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton crashed out of the race on the first lap after making contact with AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly. The Briton was attempting to overtake Gasly on the outside of Turn 5 when the two cars made contact, sending Hamilton spinning into the barriers.
Verstappen Dominates the Season
Verstappen's victory in Abu Dhabi was his 15th of the season, a new record for the most wins in a single Formula 1 season. The Dutchman has also won the Drivers' Championship for the second time in a row.
What's Next for Formula 1?
The 2023 Formula 1 season is now over, and attention will now turn to the 2024 season. Pre-season testing will begin in February, and the first race of the season will be the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5.
