Ryan Michael McDonough (born November 20, 1980) is the former general manager of the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association.
McDonough was named general manager of the Phoenix Suns on May 7, 2013. He was considered one of the game's brightest young minds and was tasked with rebuilding the Suns after a disappointing 2012-13 season.
McDonough made a number of key moves during his tenure with the Suns, including drafting Devin Booker with the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. He also traded for Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas.
Despite McDonough's efforts, the Suns failed to make the playoffs during his tenure. He was fired on October 18, 2018.
McDonough has since worked as a basketball analyst for ESPN. He is currently a contributor to "The Jump" and "NBA Countdown."
