Flight 1528 Undergoes Deep Cleaning
Around two dozen passengers became ill on a United Airlines flight from Vancouver, Canada to Houston, Texas on Friday.
United Airlines flight 1528 was flying from Vancouver, British Columbia to Houston when 25 people became sick. The plane was carrying 163 passengers and 6 crew members. The Boeing 737 Max was removed from service and underwent a deep cleaning.
The passengers who fell ill experienced a variety of symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some passengers also reported feeling dizzy and lightheaded. The cause of the illness is still under investigation.
United Airlines is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to investigate the incident. The CDC is also working to identify the cause of the illness and to prevent it from happening again.
